Back in 2017, BTS made their stage debut with ‘DNA’ performance at the AMA. This Year the AMAs announced Friday on Twitter that BTS will perform their new single “Life Goes On” and their No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 song “Dynamite” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three non-consecutive weeks, during the awards show in November. The AMAs will air Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.

BTS have also been nominated for 2 Awards. This has been a great week for the Boys and ARMY, since BTS’s collaboration “Boy With Luv ft Halsey” officially reached 1 Billion views 18 months after its premiere. In the same context, BTS tied with Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran for the sixth most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart.

The announcement that BTS would be performing their new single “Life Goes On” alongside their record-breaking hit “Dynamite” at the 2020 American Music Awards (AMAs) quickly became one of the most exciting pieces of news for both BTS and ARMY. The news was released in the lead-up to the prestigious award show, setting the stage for a highly anticipated moment in the world of K-pop and international music. For ARMY, it was a clear indication that BTS was not only continuing their global dominance but also taking their artistry to new heights. This announcement sparked a wave of excitement as fans eagerly awaited the group’s return to a live stage, especially after a year of challenges due to the global pandemic.

BTS’s inclusion in the 2020 AMAs was already a monumental achievement in itself, as they were nominated in several major categories, including Favorite Pop Duo or Group and Favorite Social Artist. The group had already made history by becoming the first K-pop group to win the Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist, and their popularity in the U.S. was at an all-time high. However, the announcement that BTS would be performing two songs—one being their latest single, “Life Goes On”—only added to the hype.

The choice to feature “Life Goes On” as part of their performance was particularly significant, as it marked the first time BTS would be presenting a song from their BE album, which they had created during the pandemic in response to the global crisis. The emotional depth and relatable message of the song were expected to resonate deeply with fans, especially considering the difficult year the world had experienced.

The announcement of the two-track performance, combining the high-energy feel-good anthem of “Dynamite” with the reflective and hopeful tone of “Life Goes On,” made it clear that BTS was prepared to bring their full spectrum of artistry to the global stage at the AMAs.

ARMY is anticipating an awesome performance judging from all the performances that BTS has given this year after their release of Dynamite. Incase you missed any of BTS “Dynamite” performances, check them out HERE! and see why fans cannot wait for their Performance at the awards show
