BTS’ “BTS 2021 SEASON’S GREETINGS” Preview Cuts #2 shows the boy all looking like tourists dressed with tickets in hand and maps. Jimin and RM have on backpacks while Jin, Suga, Jungkook and J-Hope are carting cross body bags/ shoulder bags. They are just 7 boys having fun in what looks like a country side, riding bikes and walking on train tracks. This is bringing the “RUN” MV vibes taking us back to that era. They look relaxed and ready to take on what 2021 will bring on.

In December 2020, BTS delighted ARMY by unveiling their much-anticipated “2021 SEASON’S GREETINGS”, a yearly special package filled with exclusive content, photo books, DVDs, and behind-the-scenes footage. However, this edition stood out from all the rest—thanks to its dramatic concept that turned each member into a character in a fictional storyline, sparking excitement and admiration across the fandom.

Rather than the usual cozy or festive visuals associated with New Year greetings, BTS took a bold and creative direction by embodying roles such as a private detective, hacker, researcher, mystery novelist, and even a fortune teller. The teaser video gave off strong film noir and retro thriller vibes, complete with cinematic music, moody lighting, and layered symbolism. Fans were quick to notice the effort each member put into bringing their character to life, from the subtle expressions to the detailed set designs. Jimin, for example, portrayed a charming and mysterious tarot card reader, while Jungkook captured attention as a quiet but intense gamer and hacker. Namjoon stepped into the role of a philosophical detective, showcasing his natural charisma and intellect.

The “2021 SEASON’S GREETINGS” package included a DVD full of interviews, making-of footage, and fun behind-the-scenes moments that gave fans a deeper look into how the project came together. It also came with beautifully designed calendars, planners, photo cards, and concept-based photo books—all designed to carry the cinematic theme throughout. The entire production reflected BTS’s ever-evolving creativity and their commitment to offering fans something unique every year.

As always, ARMY responded with immense love, flooding social media with edits, theories, and appreciation posts for the boys’ efforts. With its film-like aesthetic and immersive storytelling, BTS’s 2021 SEASON’S GREETINGS became more than just a merchandise drop—it became a moment in BTS history, cherished for its originality and artistic expression.
