Billboard has put out a poll where fans decide who they would like to perform at the Grammys, and if ARMY is known for anything, it is in supporting their boys in anything and everything that they do. BTS made their debut performance at the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) on May 20, 2018, delivering their single “Fake Love” from the album Love Yourself: Tear. This marked the first time a K-pop group performed at the BBMAs, highlighting BTS’s growing global influence. The performance was met with enthusiastic support from fans and media alike.
The following year, on May 1, 2019, BTS returned to the BBMAs stage to perform “Boy With Luv” alongside American singer Halsey. This collaboration showcased BTS’s ability to blend their style with Western artists, further cementing their presence in the international music scene. During the 2019 BBMAs, BTS also received awards for Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist, reflecting their widespread popularity and active fan engagement.
In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, BTS performed their hit single “Dynamite” at the BBMAs on October 14. The performance was pre-recorded in South Korea and broadcast during the event, featuring the group in coordinated red suits delivering dynamic choreography. Despite the remote setup, BTS’s performance was praised for its energy and production quality, demonstrating their adaptability and commitment to delivering engaging performances to their global audience.
