BTS has released a number of successful Japanese singles and albums over the years, showcasing their versatility and commitment to connecting with fans worldwide. Their Japanese discography began with the single “No More Dream (Japanese Ver.)” in 2014, followed by tracks like “Boy In Luv,” “Danger,” and “For You,” which marked their first Japanese single to top the Oricon daily chart. These early releases laid the foundation for BTS’s growing popularity in Japan, one of the largest music markets in the world.

Their Japanese studio albums, such as Wake Up (2014), Youth (2016), and Face Yourself (2018), further solidified their presence. Face Yourself, in particular, was a commercial success, debuting at No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon Albums Chart and earning Platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). These albums include both Japanese versions of their Korean hits and original Japanese tracks, highlighting their linguistic and musical adaptability.

In 2020, BTS released Map of the Soul: 7 The Journey, their fourth Japanese studio album. The album featured original songs like “Stay Gold” and “Your Eyes Tell,” the latter co-written by Jungkook. It was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, topping charts and achieving Platinum certification. BTS’s consistent efforts to release music specifically for their Japanese fanbase have helped build a deep, lasting connection with ARMYs in Japan and beyond.
