BTS Jin is the oldest member of the band, which is a big deal in Korea though he does not use his ‘powers’ or weild his authority over that. Jin is a multitasker who never seems to be flustered even if under pressure. He is intelligent as can be evidenced in the many wins that he has had on their variety show “RUN BTS” especially detective episodes and those mind boggling missions. He is a skilled ‘spy’ who carries out his missions successfully without being caught.
Jin loves the maknae of BTS (V, Jimin & Jungkook) especially Jungkook whom they always seem to be playfully ‘fighting’ all the time. Not to say that he does not love the Hyung line (Suga, RM & J-Hope)
The latest “Run BTS” Episode 123 brought out all his admirable qualities of a big bro, cheer leader, hype man and a great cook. He was ready to take instructions, and to ensure that the cooking mission was carried out successfully. He was always encouraging the members, especially J-Hope who started feeling flustered and losing hope of the challenge being completed. Jin cheered everyone on and helped Suga whenever he felt like he was getting tired.
He was never short of jokes that made the members laughed and even complemented V on his output in the completion of the dish. He was able to salvage flour that was almost letting them down ensuring that their main dish was completed and served.
Jin is a great multitasker who is not easily flustered or shaken, as soon as the instructions were given on what to do in the mission, Jin quickly sorted out in his mind what he was to do, ticking off the things as he went along
Jin asked Suga to add more ingredients as he remembered that the last time they made the dishes (episode 122), the members really enjoyed the food and ate a lot of the food. Jin also noticed that V enjoyed the food so much that he told him that he would make it for him anytime if he wanted.
As the countdown for finishing the dish drew near, the other members were already worried that Suga and Jin would not be able to complete the dish. Jin just kept repeating to them that they could do it, and in the end the dishes were completed on time.
Jin said that he does not know how to cook flour based dishes, Jin does not normally eat wheat, but he explained the techniques for making the dough for the noodles and even took over to solve the issue of the sticky dough…
…and made it into one that could be shaped and rolled into the desired noodles that they eventually added to their broth for the dish.
He took over when he realized Suga was getting tired just so the mission was a success, a caring member who does not like to see his brothers in discomfort
Jin is always considerate, observant and thoughtful whenever it comes to the other members. He gave V the credit for the plating of the first dish ensuring that his efforts would not go unnoticed.
After the dishes were made J-Hope kept saying it’s his fault for doing the side dish first so they didn’t have enough time for the dough and seokjin just said “it’s alright. If we fail, we fail” showing that sometimes all you can do is give if your best no matter what.
Then he credited J-hope’s instructions during the mission as one of the reasons that they were able to finish the meal and make it delicious too!
Jin used the left overs from the quesadilla and made a new dish to share with the members, always caring and thoughtful towards his brothers. Jim’s thoughtfulness and protectiveness over his members has been witnessed countless number of times, for instance,
As BTS walked on the Golden Disc Awards red carpet a while back, V accidentally tripped on his shoe, causing him to fall onto his knees. Jin looked at V and immediately took the knee as well so that V won’t be embarrassed. He is always putting others first even though it means he will be embarrassed too.
We all know that Jin’s most prized possession is RJ the alpaca, that he carries with him everywhere, ARMY have even nicknamed “RJ” as Jin’s son as the two are inseparable. Back in 2019, J-Hope suffered a sore throat and was under the weather, Jin seeing their ever happy ball of sunshine unwell, tried to comfort J-Hope by playing RJ next to him for comfort.
In conclusion, Jin is a great big brother who cares a lot for his members and always wants them to be well fed, happy and healthy. We love a multi talented King with a heart of gold!
