BTS’s RM was the first member to wish J-Hope a happy birthday. So far we have seen Jin’s birthday surprise and V’s birthday surprise, so am sure that they have a party for him. The members always have beautiful words to share with each other whenever a member celebrates their birthday. They offer words of advice and wish the member good health and happy days. Their bond has grown over the years and they usually know what each person likes.
BTS’s relationship with J-Hope (Jung Hoseok) is truly one of warmth, respect, and genuine affection. Within the group, J-Hope plays many roles, he’s the sunshine, the mood-maker, the disciplinarian during practice, and the emotional backbone that the other members often lean on. His relationship with each member is uniquely beautiful, and together, they form a bond that has been built through years of shared struggle, success, and growth.
As the leader of BTS, RM often credits J-Hope for being his rock. While RM handles external responsibilities and leadership duties, J-Hope manages internal group dynamics, especially during practice. He’s known for his strict but kind approach when it comes to choreography. RM has said multiple times that without J-Hope, the group’s synchronization and dance precision would not be the same.
Their bond is built on mutual respect and unshakable trust. RM once said J-Hope is the member he relies on most during chaotic moments because he always stays calm and takes action efficiently. Jin, the eldest, and J-Hope share a relationship filled with laughter and gentle teasing. J-Hope often breaks into loud laughter at Jin’s jokes (no matter how bad they are), and Jin, in turn, relies on J-Hope for emotional support when times are hard.
There’s also a quieter, more profound element to their friendship, J-Hope is one of the few members Jin has openly cried with during heartfelt moments. Their companionship is built on shared meals, playful banter, and an underlying emotional closeness that fans often notice in behind-the-scenes footage.
SUGA and J-Hope are practically opposites in temperament,J-Hope is expressive, warm, and energetic, while SUGA is reserved, calm, and introspective. But these differences are what make their friendship so special.
J-Hope brings lightness to SUGA’s world, and SUGA offers grounding to J-Hope’s high energy. SUGA has often described J-Hope as the member who comforts others best. In turn, J-Hope respects SUGA deeply as a composer and thinker, often seeking his advice during solo music production. They balance each other beautifully.
Jimin and J-Hope share a strong dance bond and deep mutual affection. As two of the group’s strongest dancers, they often train together and understand the dedication it takes to perfect performance. Beyond that, their personalities mesh in a way that feels like two brothers teasing, caring, and looking out for each other.
Jimin once said that J-Hope is his emotional anchor, someone who comforts without words and knows when something is wrong just by looking. They often praise each other’s hard work and have some of the most affectionate and heartfelt interactions among the group.
V, known for his eccentric and creative energy, often refers to J-Hope as someone who “grounds him.” J-Hope looks after Taehyung like a responsible older brother, often gently guiding him or checking in when V’s emotions seem heavy.
In return, V shows love to J-Hope through spontaneous hugs, playful antics, and deep admiration. Their relationship is full of goofy laughter, but when things get serious, V often turns to J-Hope for stability. Their bond shows how care can be expressed in both loud joy and quiet support.
Jungkook, the youngest, holds a huge amount of respect for J-Hope. From the early training days, J-Hope was someone Jungkook admired for his dance skills, work ethic, and emotional maturity. In many behind-the-scenes clips, J-Hope is seen giving Jungkook advice, correcting his moves, or simply laughing together over the silliest things. Jungkook has also said that J-Hope makes the group feel like “a real family.” Their closeness comes from a deep place of mutual trust, and J-Hope has often called Jungkook his “cute little brother.”
Across all these relationships, one thing stands clear, J-Hope is the emotional glue of BTS. He’s the one who maintains the group’s energy, the one who takes responsibility during hard times, and the one who notices when a member is feeling down even if no words are spoken.
He cheers the loudest, works the hardest behind the scenes, and still makes time to listen to each member. Whether he’s helping with choreography, supporting their solo projects, or just making everyone laugh after a long day, J-Hope’s presence is irreplaceable.
J-Hope isn’t just BTS’s main dancer or rapper, he’s the heart of the group. His relationships with the other members are defined by unwavering support, loyalty, and love. He uplifts them, keeps them grounded, and never asks for praise in return. To BTS, J-Hope isn’t just a member, he’s their brother, their sunshine, and one of the biggest reasons they’ve come this far, together.
