Another BTS track is on its way to the gold standard, literally. The fan-favorite single “Go Go” has officially surpassed 500,000 units sold in the United States, making it eligible for Gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Released on September 18, 2017, “Go Go” stands out for its vibrant sound, playful choreography, and clever critique of materialism among youth. The song was first introduced as the eighth track on BTS’ fifth mini album, Love Yourself: Her, and later appeared as the fourth track on CD B in their second compilation album, Love Yourself: Answer.

“Go Go” isn’t just known for its catchy “Yolo, yolo, yolo, yo” hook and high-energy beat, it’s a staple in BTS’s live setlists and a clear fan-favorite, with ARMYs across the globe often mimicking the fun choreography at concerts and fan events. The song’s message, wrapped in playful lyrics and upbeat rhythms, addresses serious themes with a satirical twist, something BTS does so well.

The track also received a Japanese version, which was included in the group’s third Japanese studio album, Face Yourself, released in 2018. This version further expanded the song’s global reach, resonating with fans beyond Korean and English-speaking audiences.

As BTS continues to break records and expand their global impact, “Go Go” joining the ranks of RIAA-eligible Gold-certified tracks is yet another reminder of the group’s musical versatility and staying power. While official RIAA certification is still pending, fans are already celebrating this milestone with pride.

Congratulations to BTS and ARMY! Let’s go go for that Gold plaque!
