BTS’s “Butter” music video is out, and it’s hotter than ever! As if the song itself wasn’t enough to set the world on fire, the visuals are something that we, as ARMY, simply cannot handle. The music video is filled with eye-catching moments that show BTS at their absolute best radiating charisma, energy, and pure talent. But there’s one thing that stands out among all the stunning visuals, and that’s their mug shots. In true Bangtan fashion, BTS didn’t just deliver a catchy song and beautiful choreography; they gave us an entire set of hilarious mug shots, each one showcasing the members in various criminal “offenses.”
The fandom quickly went into creative overdrive, as they always do, to come up with the most fitting and hilarious crimes for each of the seven members. One Twitter user, @bunjkay, took it upon themselves to list the “crimes” each member has allegedly committed, and the results are pure comedic gold. ARMY, always known for their wit and cleverness, has outdone themselves with these crimes, and we can’t stop laughing. So, let’s take a look at the hilarious, and sometimes absurd, charges that BTS’s beloved members have “committed.”
1. Kim Namjoon (RM)
Crime: Rode a bike on the sidewalk, not the designated bike lane.
Namjoon, our intellectual, philosophical leader, who has been seen as the “brain” of BTS, has committed the heinous crime of cycling on the sidewalk. Yes, you read that right. Despite his wisdom and leadership, Namjoon has shown a rebellious side by riding his bike on the sidewalk instead of the designated bike lane. This is not just a casual offense. This is a crime against the environment, against the people walking, and against the unwritten laws of the road. But really, who can be mad at Namjoon for committing this crime? His leadership and intelligence simply overwhelm us, so even when he breaks the rules, we can’t help but forgive him.
If Namjoon’s crime is anything, it’s certainly breaking the boundaries of normality and always finding his own path. Plus, let’s be real, who could be angry at a man with those broad shoulders and that charming, soft voice?
2. Min Yoon-gi (SUGA)
Crime: Claimed to be a licensed therapist and offered services for free because “fuck capitalism” but is unlicensed… Patients had only good things to say.
Next up, we have Min Yoon-gi, aka Suga. Now, we all know that SUGA has a mind like no other, with his sharp lyrics and honest demeanor. But it seems that his wisdom has transcended music, and he has “taken on the role” of a therapist. In the world of criminal offenses, pretending to be a licensed therapist and offering free services all under the motto “fuck capitalism” is certainly a bold move. But the twist is that his patients had nothing but glowing reviews. You see, even though Suga is unlicensed, his wisdom, empathy, and the way he listens are unmatched. He’s a free spirit at heart who believes in helping others, even if it means bending (or breaking) a few professional rules.
We should all be so lucky to have SUGA’s “therapy” in our lives, even if it’s unofficial and “illegal.” Let’s be real: if anyone could save us from our problems with just a few words of wisdom, it would definitely be SUGA.
3. Kim Seok-jin (Jin)
Crime: Continuously showed up uninvited to modeling gigs to “show them how it’s done” unprovoked.
Jin, the visual and the oldest of the group, seems to have committed a “crime” many can relate to crashing modeling gigs just to “show them how it’s done.” We all know that Jin could easily take over any runway in the world, so it’s no surprise that he would want to unofficially teach the pros how to model. It’s not arrogance just pure confidence. But apparently, the world of fashion wasn’t ready for Jin’s charm and photogenic presence, and he kept showing up to events he wasn’t invited to, just to grace everyone with his beauty.
Jin has made it clear countless times that he’s not afraid to strut his stuff and show off those visuals. It’s not that he’s trying to steal the spotlight; it’s just that the spotlight doesn’t seem to exist unless Jin’s in it. Besides, can we really fault someone for wanting to improve the world of fashion with his face and charisma?
4. Jung Ho-Seok (j-hope)
Crime: Jaywalking.
j-hope’s energy is simply contagious. He’s always moving, always dancing, and always full of life. So, it’s only fitting that his crime involves jaywalking. There’s no stopping j-hope when he’s on the move, and apparently, that also includes breaking the rules when it comes to crossing the street. Whether it’s in the middle of the night or in broad daylight, if j-hope sees a moment to shine, he’s going to take it rules be damned! After all, he’s the sunshine of BTS, and rules are just a little too mundane for someone like him.
Who can blame him for not wanting to wait at the crosswalk when the world is his stage? j-hope lives life to the fullest and, if jaywalking is the price he has to pay for that kind of energy, we’ll gladly support him.
5. Kim Tae-Hyung (V)
Crime: Hiding in an art museum after hours to appreciate the art without distractions.
V is the mysterious one of the group, the one who often keeps to himself and is known for his deep thoughts and unique perspective on the world. So, naturally, his crime involves hiding in an art museum after hours. V’s love for art is well known, and it’s clear that he’d want to experience it in peace, without any distractions. What better way to do that than by breaking into a museum after hours to immerse himself in art for as long as he desires? After all, art speaks to him in ways that few things do.
Maybe he’s not really committing a crime; maybe he’s just seeking beauty in the world in his own way. But breaking into an art museum to appreciate its masterpieces in silence? We can’t help but admire the deep thoughtfulness that goes into V’s “criminal behavior.”
6. Park Jimin
Crime: Snuck a five-course meal and wine pairings into the movie theater.
We all know that Jimin is a food lover, and this crime is honestly a little relatable for many of us. Who hasn’t tried to sneak in a snack or two into the movie theater to avoid paying those outrageous prices for popcorn? But Jimin took things to another level when he smuggled a five-course meal and even brought wine pairings to his theater outing.
Honestly, if anyone has the sophistication and charm to pull this off without getting caught, it’s Jimin. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t just enjoy a meal he curates an experience. Whether he’s sneaking in fancy dishes or just indulging in his own desires, Jimin has no shame in enjoying the finer things in life, even when they’re not exactly “theater-approved.”
7. Jeon Jungkook
Crime: Broke into the animal shelter to pet the dogs at night because he was worried they would get lonely.
Finally, we have Jungkook, the golden maknae of BTS. It’s no surprise that his crime involves breaking into an animal shelter for a very noble cause. Jungkook, being the soft and caring soul that he is, couldn’t bear the thought of dogs being lonely in their kennels at night, so he decided to break into the shelter to pet them and keep them company.
If there’s anything we know about Jungkook, it’s that his heart is pure, and he would do anything to make sure the animals (or anyone, really) are taken care of. So, while his “crime” might be a bit extreme, it’s done with the best of intentions. Jungkook just wants to make sure everyone two-legged or four feels loved and cared for.
In the end, these “crimes” are really just a reflection of the unique personalities and charm of each of the BTS members. From riding bikes on the sidewalk to sneaking five-course meals into the theater, the crimes are quirky, fun, and filled with love. And while these “offenses” might be ridiculous, one thing’s for sure BTS continues to break boundaries, set trends, and spread joy in everything they do. ARMY, of course, will always be there to laugh, support, and celebrate their favorite group, no matter what crimes they commit.
