BTS Thanks ARMY and BBMAs for Their Historic 5th Top Social Artist Win. BTS have once again proven the undeniable power of ARMY as they took home their 5th consecutive win for Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs)! The septet graciously thanked their fans and the BBMAs, cementing their legacy as a social media powerhouse and global phenomenon.

The Top Social Artist category is one of only three fan-voted categories at the BBMAs, and it’s awarded based on a combination of streaming numbers, fan engagement, social media interactions, and the all-important global online voting a formula tailor-made for a fandom as passionate and active as ARMY.

BTS first won this award in 2017, breaking Justin Bieber’s six-year streak, and since then, they’ve never let go of the crown. With five wins in a row (2017–2021), they now trail only Bieber, who holds six but at this rate, BTS might just catch up and surpass that milestone too.

Here’s how the current leaderboard looks:

  • 🏆 Justin Bieber – 6 wins, 8 nominations
  • 🏆 BTS – 5 wins, 5 nominations
  • 🏆 Ariana Grande – 0 wins, 7 nominations
  • 🏆 Rihanna & Taylor Swift – 4 nominations each

It’s not just a win for BTS it’s a win for ARMY, too. This award represents the relentless love, dedication, and energy fans pour into supporting BTS around the world. Whether it’s streaming their music, trending hashtags, voting daily, or engaging in online fan projects, ARMY proves time and again that this bond goes beyond music.

With their heartfelt message of gratitude and humble attitude, BTS continues to show why they are more than just artists they are a movement. And ARMY? You just keep rewriting the rules of fan power.

Here’s to five wins and counting.
