BTS have done it again! At the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, BTS won Top Selling Song for their global hit “Dynamite”, bringing their total wins that night to four sweeping every category they were nominated in! The categories they conquered included:
- Top Duo/Group
- Top Song Sales Artist
- Top Social Artist (for the fifth consecutive year!)
- Top Selling Song – “Dynamite”
This win is yet another testament to BTS’ immense impact on the global music scene and the unwavering support of ARMY worldwide.
Released on August 21st, 2020, “Dynamite” was BTS’ first fully English single, and it immediately became a cultural phenomenon, breaking multiple records from the get-go. It had:
- Over 3 million concurrent viewers during its YouTube premiere – earning it a Guinness World Record
- 101.1 million views in the first 24 hours – the most viewed YouTube video in that time frame at the time
- A No. 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100, making BTS the first all-Korean act to top the chart
