BTS are gearing up for an exciting and heartwarming event titled “Butterful Getaway,” a special talk show followed by a much-anticipated performance of their latest track, “Permission to Dance.” This unique event is part of their ongoing celebrations surrounding the release of the new single, which dropped on July 9, 2021, as a gift to ARMYs in honor of ARMY Day a yearly celebration of their loyal fanbase.

Permission to Dance” has already made waves across the globe, not only for its uplifting melody and infectious choreography, but also because it was co-written by global pop icon Ed Sheeran along with Steve Mac, Johnny McDaid, and Jenna Andrews. The song’s production was handled by Steve Mac, Jenna Andrews, and Stephen Kirk, who crafted the bright, feel-good tune that encourages people to dance freely without needing permission a message perfectly timed for the world slowly coming out of isolation.

As part of the promotional schedule, BTS will hold the “Butterful Getaway” talk special on July 9 at 9:00 PM KST via NAVER NOW, offering fans a more personal look into the group’s thoughts, behind-the-scenes moments, and experiences while preparing for this new chapter. The event will be followed by a performance on HYBE LABELS’ YouTube channel at 9:30 PM KST. For fans in Kenya (EAT), the event times translate to 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM, respectively.

Adding even more excitement to the schedule, BTS will also make their U.S. live debut performance of “Permission to Dance” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” during a two-night special appearance on July 13th and 14th. This marks not just the first performance of the song in the U.S., but also another chance for the group to connect with their global audience through an iconic American late-night platform.

BTS previously had massive success on Fallon with memorable performances like “Dynamite,” “IDOL,” and “Black Swan,” and fans can expect this appearance to be just as dynamic and visually stunning. With “Permission to Dance” already breaking viewership and streaming records within hours of release, and their ever-evolving connection to fans through content like “Butterful Getaway,” BTS continue to prove that they are not only global superstars but artists deeply connected to their fans. Their heartfelt messages, record-breaking performances, and willingness to bring joy and healing through music are exactly why ARMYs across the world continue to celebrate them every chance they get.
