President Moon and BTS attended the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly session in New York for the second meeting of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG Moment) BTS members each gave their speech as they appeared in daper clean cut suits.
BTS wore custome made suits from RE;CODE, a sustainable brand that uses environmentally friendly fabric. BTS always do things conciously and with intent and they do their best to live by their words. The brand posted on Instagram BTS’ photo of the members wearing their suits writing,
“RE;CODE participated in a UN ‘SDG Moment event together with BTS. RE;CODE is an upcycling fashion brand designing a new collection using Kolon FnC’s stock clothes and environment friendly fabrics. The suit design aims to support sustainable fashion and it is particularly designed for BTS’ speech at United Nations”
This is not the first time that BTS are in support of sustainable living. Back in 2019, BTS becams the new global ambassadors of ABB FIA Formula E Championship, the electric street racing series. “We are delighted to announce BTS as a global ambassador of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. BTS has cultivated an engaged fan base that is highly passionate about social issues and we share a common desire to raise awareness of the threat of climate change. In partnering with BTS, we will amplify our purpose of accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles to a global youth audience..”
“We look forward to working with BTS to continue to promote sustainability and the electric movement. We are extremely happy to collaborate with RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook to catalyze a move towards a cleaner future, faster”
Jamie Reigle, Chief Executive Officer of Formula E.
