“Favorite Pop Song goes to BTS for their song “Butter” at this year’s American Music Awards (AMAs). This is BTS’ second award at the event. American Music Award for Favorite Song – Pop/Rock has been awarded since 1974. The category was retired for over a decade in 1995, before returning in the 2016 ceremony.

Both Jimin and Jung Kook gave their acceptance speech in English thanking fans for loving the song. BTS were up against Doja Cat ft. SZA “Kiss Me More”, Dua Lipa “Levitating”, Olivia Rodrigo “drivers license”
and The Weeknd & Ariana Grande “Save Your Tears (Remix)
