“BTS were nominated for the 2022 BRIT Awards in “International Group of the Year.” Last year 2020 was the first time that BTS were nominated in the awards making them the first ever Asian act to receive such a nomination.
According to The BRIT Awards website, the list of eligible artists, albums, and singles is compiled by the Official Charts Company and submitted to the voting academy, which consists of over 1,000 members of the music industry, including the previous year’s nominees and winners. The voters use a secure online website to vote, and the voting is scrutinized by Electoral Reform Services. The concept of fan voting was abolished after the 2019 Brit Awards
Coldplay is the act with most performances ever, with five opening presentations and eight overall, followed by Take That and band member Robbie Williams, who performed seven times each. Rihanna and Adele have performed at four ceremonies each, with all four performances taking place on the same evenings (2008, 2011, 2012 and 2016).
Robbie Williams is currently the most awarded artist with 13 awards, British Male Solo Artist (4), British Single of the Year (3), British Video of the Year (3), British Song of Twenty-Five Year (1), Icon Award (1) and Outstanding Contribution to Music (1)
