Following the announcement that BTS member SUGA had tested positive for COVID-19, fans around the world anxiously awaited further updates from the group’s label. On Christmas Day, BIGHIT Music confirmed that two more members, RM and Jin, had also tested positive for the coronavirus. The news understandably caused concern among the ARMY, as it meant that three of the group’s members were battling the virus during the holiday season.

SUGA, who was the first member to receive a positive diagnosis, had returned to South Korea from overseas and was confirmed to be infected on the twenty fourth of December. Known for his calm and reassuring demeanor, SUGA took to the fan platform Weverse just a few days later, on the twenty seventh of December, to comfort fans. In his message, he assured everyone that he was doing okay and encouraged them not to worry about his health. His thoughtful message provided comfort to ARMY, many of whom had been sending messages of love and concern.

The following day, on the twenty eighth of December, RM responded to SUGA’s post on Weverse. In his reply, RM also gave fans a brief but meaningful update, letting them know that he, too, was okay. Though the message was short, it was enough to ease the worries of millions of fans across the globe. The interaction between the members highlighted the bond they share and the way they support one another, even when facing challenges like illness.

As the three members recovered in quarantine, fans continued to flood social media with well wishes and positive messages. BIGHIT Music remained in communication with the public, updating everyone as the members progressed in their recovery. The company noted that all three members were receiving appropriate care and were in self-isolation as per health authority guidelines.

Their openness and willingness to keep fans informed during a time of concern only strengthened the connection between BTS and their loyal fanbase. It also served as a reminder of the importance of transparency and kindness in the face of health challenges.
