On January 31, BTS’ Jimin was diagnosed with COVID-19 and underwent surgery for acute appendicitis on the same day. The news sparked an outpouring of concern from ARMY across the world. Thankfully, just a few days later, Jimin reassured everyone with a health update that warmed hearts everywhere.

On February 2, Jimin posted on Weverse, sharing that he was recovering well. His thoughtful message included a simple yet comforting note that he was “eating all three meals”, letting fans know that his appetite and spirits were returning. Two days later, on February 4, Jimin posted again, continuing to update ARMY with his recovery progress.

What made this post even more special was a comment from fellow BTS member SUGA, who knows exactly what Jimin is going through.

SUGA shared his understanding and support in the comment section because he himself had faced the same situation. Shortly after BTS debuted, SUGA also had to undergo appendix surgery. At the time, BTS were actively promoting in Japan, and SUGA began experiencing intense stomach pain. He was urgently flown back to Korea, where doctors confirmed he had appendicitis, and he underwent emergency surgery as well.

The shared experience between the two members brought an extra layer of comfort and connection. Fans were touched to see SUGA reaching out, subtly reminding Jimin (and ARMY) that he wasn’t alone and that recovery is possible with time, rest, and support.

SUGA’s empathy and Jimin’s courage created a moment that reminded everyone just how strong and close-knit BTS truly are. The group’s bond, built on years of shared memories and challenges, continues to show through in even the most difficult moments.

As ARMY continues to send messages of encouragement and love, fans are patiently cheering for Jimin’s full recovery and appreciating the gentle support SUGA offered his younger member.

“Healing is easier when you’re surrounded by people who understand. Wishing Jimin strength and love as he continues to recover.”

“As an acute appendicitis sunbae, I understand” SUGA
