Academy Award Winning Jazz Musician, Jon Batiste Expressed His Wish Of Interacting With BTS’ V At The 2022 Grammys & Is Now following V on Instagram

“It is no secret that V loves Jazz and or classic music, he has expressed that by sharing audio clibs of classic music and even mentioned his favorite Jazz musicians. BTS have been nominated for the 2022 Grammys and a fan wrote that his dream interaction at the Grammys would be “my dream interaction in the grammys? Kim Taehyung and @JonBatiste” Jon Batiste Grammy Award winning jazz musician then responded on the post by sharing collage of him and Taehyung on twitter expressing that he is looking forward to his interaction with V during the 2022. He wrote “Love him 🤍 I’m in! Are you Kim Taehyung?” The Recording Academy also replied to the Twitter post and wrote “We’ll send you a photo if this happens. 👀🤞” Batiste is now following V on his Instagram account.

Jonathan Michael Batiste is an American musician, bandleader, and television personality. He has recorded and performed with artists in various genres of music (Stevie Wonder, Prince, Willie Nelson, Lenny Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, Roy Hargrove, and Mavis Staples), released his own recordings, and performed in more than 40 countries. Batiste regularly tours with his band Stay Human, and appears with them nightly as bandleader and musical director on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert since 2015.

Batiste also serves as the music director of The Atlantic and the Creative Director of the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. In 2020, he co-composed the score for the Pixar animated film Soul, for which he received an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a BAFTA Film Award (all shared with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross). As of 2021, Batiste has garnered 14 Grammy Award nominations. On June 4, 2015, it was announced that Jon Batiste and Stay Human would serve as house band on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
