BTS recently made history once again, this time by visiting the White House to meet with President Joe Biden. The meeting, which was widely celebrated across social media, highlighted the global impact BTS has not just as artists, but as influential voices advocating for important causes. In an Instagram post shared by President Biden himself, he warmly welcomed the members, Jin, SUGA, RM, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, to the White House. The President praised BTS for using their platform to spread a message of hope, positivity, and unity, noting that their influence reaches far beyond music.

During their meeting, President Biden emphasized how BTS’ message of self-love, acceptance, and support for marginalized communities resonates with millions worldwide. He acknowledged the significance of their voices, especially in the current climate, and commended them for speaking out against racism and injustice. The conversation between BTS and the President shed light on the ongoing efforts to combat the rise in Asian hate crimes and the importance of fostering understanding across cultures.

RM, speaking on behalf of the group, sincerely thanked President Biden and the U.S. government for their support and initiatives aimed at addressing hate crimes and promoting inclusivity. BTS’ visit to the White House not only marked a proud moment for ARMY but also demonstrated the group’s commitment to using their global platform for meaningful change. Their presence at such a prestigious setting symbolized hope, resilience, and the power of solidarity in the face of adversity.

RM: “It’s an honor to meet you Mr. President”

President Biden spoke and said,

Welcome to the white house, come on up here guys. This is an important month here in America. A lot of our Asian American friends have been subject to real discrimination. Hate only hides. When good people talk about it and say how bad it is, it goes down. So thank you… “

RM spoke and said,

We want to say thank you, sincerely, for your decision, like such as signing COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act into law. So we just want to be a little help and we truly appreciate the White House and the government’s trying to find solutions.

President Joe Biden added,

People care a lot about what you say, and what you’re doing is good for all people. It’s not just your great talent, it’s the message you’re communicating. It matters”
